Hey, I’m Taylor! I’m so glad you stopped by!

I’m a graphic designer and visual communications professional with over 10 years of experience creating thoughtful, purposeful design across print, digital, and branding platforms. My work focuses on translating ideas into clear, engaging visuals that help organizations communicate more effectively, connect with their audiences, and tell their stories with impact.

Currently, I work in public information and communications with Botetourt Fire & EMS, where I design recruitment campaigns, social media content, newsletters, and community outreach materials while also serving as a Public Information Officer. I’ve led rebranding efforts, managed multi-channel campaigns, and developed creative assets for initiatives such as the award-winning Botetourt Fire & EMS Girls’ Fire Camp. You will also find examples of my photography in my portfolio from my time at Botetourt.

Previously, I worked as a graphic designer with Fincastle Baptist Church, where I led branding projects and created cohesive visual systems across print, digital, and event materials. These experiences strengthened my ability to manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and maintain consistent brand identity across platforms.

I’m skilled in Adobe Creative Suite and passionate about typography, layout, and clean visual storytelling. I enjoy designing work that not only looks good but also serves a clear purpose—whether that’s building awareness, supporting recruitment, or strengthening community engagement.

Outside of design, I’m a dog lover and advocate for the fire service, and that connection has deepened my appreciation for work that supports animals and people. That’s what draws me to meaningful, mission-driven creative work—where design can genuinely make a difference in people’s lives. I also love to sew, hike, and garden.

“Every new thing you make will be (should be) the nicest thing you’ve made so far, because you’re learning and getting better with each and every new project.”

Jessica Hische
